Don't Forget The Lyrics

I was about to write a post about how ridiculous the 'suspense' part of the titled show is. Essentially the aim is to pick a category, then select one song in that category and sing it with lyrics until they disappear, which is when you sing the next few words. The more money its worth, the more words you have to sing on, so at the beginning it's usually three words, very easy.

It's become a trend on that show to create unnecessary suspense. Say the whole sentence is 5 words long, Mr Shane Richie will occasionally decide to first confirm the first two or three words before actually doing the whole thing. It's quite annoying to say the least.

Today, being the boring idiot I am, I watched it and this guy comes out and the host does it on his first question, a three word sentence. First, they confirm the first word. And then the third, leaving the second one unconfirmed. I was really annoyed with the way they were playing out this early stage in the contestants game. Then, on his first question, it turns out that second word was wrong! Boy did I laugh, but my point still stands. If they're wrong, just tell them, don't drag it out. The only thing it does is benefit the TV station by increasing airtime and padding out a show.

End trite point.
